Audrey's Elusive Curls

Nana just had to see Audrey's curls so we captured some pics of them after Little Bit's bath. Like her brother's hair, these curls don't last long due to her baby fine hair.

A few hours later she was back to straight - but she didn't seem to mind:

Halloween Here We Come!

We spent part of Sunday preparing our pumpkins for Halloween - can you guess which one Dylan did and which one Mommy did?

And here is today's little pumpkin - its a bit dark, but best I could get of the little squirmer!
Have a Happy Halloween!

Jim and His Fishing Buddies

One of the things Jim loves most about living here is the easy access to beautiful places and great fishing. Here are some pics of recent fishing trips, courtesy of our friend Chris Brandt. These are from Eleven Mile.

Here are Chris and Brandan showing off their catch after some night fishing at Cheesman Reservoir.

Don't you wish you were here?

Audrey's Hip Update

Right afterAudrey was born the doctors noticed a click in her hip joints. As a precaution they sent us to an Orthopedist to have her hips checked out when she was about 6 weeks old. The U/S showed her hips were not developed correctly so she had to wear a Pavlik harnes for 4 weeks in September to help the socket curve around the hip ball. Not many people got to see her in it but we wanted to show it to answer all the questions we got. She really didn't seem to mind it, but it got old having to dress her in only dresses or onesies - no pants! Here she is with and without clothes, looking pretty generally happy.

The good news - her hips are now doing great and she doesn't have to go back in until January now. Yeah!

Halloween Prep

This last weekend Nana was in town for a visit. We took the kids to a Halloween party at the YMCA and captured these pics of the kids in their costumes.

Our Bumblebee Transformer:
Our little bunny rabbit:
I also included an early shot of Audrey in a similar position to see how much she has changed in 3 months.

The cheeks are much bigger and her hair is even longer. We even had to move to the middle set of strap positions for her...she is sitting up at least 2 inches taller in the seat now...wow!

The boys' outdoor adventures

As I have been settling back into new mommyhood the last few months, Jim and Dylan have had some Father-Son outdoor adventures to let me get some rest. Here are some pics from their outings. They have camped, hiked and fished quite a bit this year much to both of their delight.

On a recent hike near Weston Pass:

Taking a moment with Daddy in the great outdoors

Playing with glow sticks with the Brandts

Showing off for the camera with Daddy's newest catch - crawfish! Boy were they good eating, too! Not that Dylan tried any crawfish chowder, but he liked playing with them and helping to cook them at least.
I can't wait until we can all go camping together!

Our Girl is Getting so Big!

Just had to share some cute new pics of Audrey. Its hard to believe that she is 3 months old now. She's really starting to get fun now, starting to interact more.

Here she is as the littlest Jayhawk fan, watching football with Daddy:

Here she is showing off her newly found muscles - who knew it was such hard work holding up your head!
Here she is sporting a pretty, new dress, but still hiding that camera-shy smile:

Fall Hike!

Colorado was blessed with beautiful fall weather this last weekend, so we took advantage of it! The leaves were changing and we set out to find them. Here are some photos from our hike on Gold Camp Road with the Brandt family:

Dylan picked up the Mouse ears from a friend and he insisted on wearing them for our hike. Too cute, huh!

Our newest addition!

And now for Audrey!

Miss Audrey Elizabeth joined our family on July 8, 2008, weighing in at 6lb 5oz and 19.6in. She is doing great and is much loved by all. Here are some of our favorite pics so far:

Clearly Dylan is in love!
Just a few days old in her crib
Still trying to get that smile down :)
Hanging out with Mommy!
Finally, we're starting to get that smile thing down.

Just last week - my drooly baby and all her hair!

Family Blog - must share pictures!

We take so many pictures, but don't always get around to printing them very often. I thought I would give this a try as a means of sharing our lives with family and friends on a more frequent basis. I got the idea from the Rivers', whose Three Rivers blog keeps me updated on their busy lives. I hope you enjoy!

Here are a few of us at the Rockledge Ranch Harvest Festival '08. Its an annual tradition for us now and this year was no exception. Check out Dylan and his friends!

Proudly picking his pumpkin. Posing with the ladies, Avery and Chelsea.

Showing off his grasshopper catch and modeling our new "animals".
